I’ve always loved horses, but growing up in the city of Chicago I wasn’t given a lot of exposure to real horses; although I did play with plastic horses!   As an adult I was finally able to purchase my own horse, Ebay.  I retired in 2019 and now I get to finally spend time with Ebay.  CVEP has allowed me many opportunities to improve my riding, develop new skills, meet new friends and has provided me a way to give back to the community that has already given me so much!

She trained horses for a large ranch as well as competed in barrel racing and team roping. She has served on the Ute Mountain Rodeo board as well as President for the Colorado West Barrel Racing Association. About 3 years ago she decided to move back to Chino Valley, an area that she has always loved. She continues to train horses, give lessons, and compete. Ashley also works for a nonprofit organization in Prescott. She enjoys producing barrel races for the community and plans to put more on at the park. She truly believes in the parks mission and brings her past experience and knowledge to CVEP.

It all started in November 2017 as a volunteer, when I was recruited to be in charge of Membership.

I'm enthusiastic about this opportunity to be on the board of this organization.
I have 35 years of extensive experience in Customer Service as Owner of a very successful business, Patty’s Critters. I'm known for getting to the point and resolving problems. There is nothing I enjoy more than delighting and always going above and beyond the Call of Duty. This gives me an opportunity for self-fulfillment when my strongest personal traits are engaged.
I find the human/horse relationship very rewarding. I miss my mare, Elsa.
I relocated from California about 5 years ago, but it’s the Arizona attitude of the people that kept me here. I now live in the Prescott Mountains where I work at Friendly Pines Horse Camp on property with my love, Reba (my dog) where I enjoy gardening, 4 wheeling and DIY projects.
I feel my organizational skills and experience will be an asset in this role.

I grew up in the Northeast and got my first horse, Boo in ninth grade [she came with the house]. As an adult, I owned and operated a small boarding and lesson facility in central NH for 12 years before downsizing to two horses. Moving to Chino Valley with my husband in 2018, I now enjoy trail riding and dabble in Western Equitation with my quarter horse Bobby. He lives here at home with his buddy Ronin, a small flock of chickens, a cat, and four Australian Shepherds. I am looking forward to supporting the continued growth and new activities at Chino Valley Equestrian Park.
