A letter from the President

As President of the Chino Valley Equestrian Association (CVEA), allow me to give you a brief history of our association and offer you the opportunity to be a part of our vision.

In 2010, I found myself staring into the wide-open space of Old Home Manor and thought, “with so much useable land, there needs to be an equestrian center here.”

I was not alone in this vision. In 2015 the CVEA was formed. Many others have joined together to build and sustain a multi-use facility that will economically benefit our community and continue to support the culture of the horse—a part of our state’s heritage.

A 501(c)(3) determination was approved, making us a non-profit. A site plan was created, and the Town of Chino Valley obtained a long term lease for eighty acres at Old Home Manor. The Chino Valley Equestrian Park (CVEP) will host Roping, Reining, Barrel Racing, Sorting, Driving, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, Dressage, Trail and Endurance Events, Mounted Shooting, Western and English Pleasure Shows, Recreational Riding and Educational Clinics, as well as offering a venue for dog shows and car shows.

The CVEA board and its members represent a diverse group of equine professionals and enthusiasts who have volunteered thousands of hours in meetings, planning, and labor. Services in marketing, design, development and earth work have been donated. Due to community outreach and the formation of partnerships, we held our first event in March 2017,with more events already scheduled for the summer and fall.

The Town of Chino Valley sits in the heart of horse country with four wonderfully mild seasons. The CVEP is in a unique position to be on the cutting edge of the upswing in the horse industry. It is our vision to become the premier destination for equine activities in Northern Arizona and beyond.

Please look through this informative promotional packet and consider how you can be a part of the CVEP vision through sponsorships, donations, and membership.
